Matthew Loots and Ryan Sullivan release debut collaboration ‘Ampersand’.

A new collaboration forged between Triplefire Music label boss, Ryan Sullivan, and fellow label producer, Matthew Loots, sees the release of a two-track dance-floor aimed EP.

Triplefire Music has been keeping the lid on this exceptional double feature from two of Southern Africa’s finest electronic artists for some time now and, at last, it is time to unveil “Ampersand” and “Tunnel Vision” to the world.

The record is released just as the label begins to celebrate its 5th anniversary and are doing so with a naive new look across all new Triplefire Music releases, kicking off with Ampersand.

Individually, both Ryan Sullivan and Matthew Loots are two artists respected for consistently going beyond the bounds of genres and formats, approaching music from an emotional perspective, which we know can be hard to define and label.

The gracefully deep, throbbing rhythm of “Ampersand” is a masterclass in dub-infused, floor moving drumfire. Glazed with beautiful, subtle melodic embelishment, its entrancing charm is truly one for the books.

The more compulsive “Tunnel Vision” is no less exceptional and is quite simply mammoth, making this collaborative EP yet another standout musical parcel from Triplefire Music
