“It’s been more than a year since we’ve featured an artist from outside of South Africa on Triplefire Music and I couldn’t be happier with this superb record from one of India’s bright new talents, Siddeffects.” – Ryan Sullivan.

The title track, Destroy Love Letters, gathers momentum with subtlety as a percussive rhythm is slowly built up, one layer at a time. Energetic shakers shuffle as atmospheric sounds come together, forming a bed for the bassline to creep in, bringing the songs movement to a hypnotic peak before breaking down with great suspense. A not so obvious climax is reached before you know it, just before the song winds down to a close.

Shivaji Park is another subtle and hypnotic track. Building slowly, layer upon layer, melodic elements such as piano and synthesized pads and stabs respond to each other, forming a trance inducing rhythm around the songs pulsing groove. Spooky effects swirl around, creating an otherworldly sense of space.

Closing the EP off is Way Of Survival, a deep and dark track with loads of lush atmosphere and synthetic sounds resembling calls of nature. A broken beat rhythm forms the trail on which a deep, rolling bass moves along as a beautiful, angelic pad sings its melody.

Destroy Love Letters is an incredibly deep record with three outstanding tracks and Triplefire Music is extremely proud to work with Siddeffects to deliver an EP displaying the modern sound of progressive house today, in the true sense of the term.
